It was reported today that Vibe Magazine has stopped future plans for publication of it’s renowned urban culture magazine.
Vibe was started in 1993 by Quincy Jones and has featured cover stories on just about every popular urban artist to maintain popularity over the course of the past 15 years. Vibe has also had it’s own award show since 2003 and has published books featuring it’s articles and pictures from the magazine. The lose of Vibe will definitely be felt in urban culture, music publications, and music in general.
Here is the first part of an interview with Vibe editor Danyel Smith uploaded last month. Egypt questions her about how publications are staying in business and what Vibe is doing to keep it’s doors open at the time.

It‘s quite in here! Why not leave a response?
